During a trip to a remote rocky beach by the town of Oren in Turkey, I found some great, smooth rocks. I filled three bags full of them and took them home to work on them with acrylics. If anybody has ever gone to the artists' streets in Bodrum, there are tons of painted rocks, all with the same beach sunset. Just to be a little seperate from the pack, I decided to start a collection of pastoral themed rocks. For now, it seems like it's going to be a collection of three. Two are finished and the last still needs a bit of work...meaning I started it today. haha

They are painted with acrylics and a top coat of wood varnish. YES, it is unorthodox, but I found that it gives a great aged look and it was the only thing I found around here that will make them shiny.

However, I have no idea what to do with them. For now, they form a pile in the in the living room with other rocks that I painted when I was eight.
